The top prize warrants boasting as the top team and a Golden Ticket, an automatic entry, to the World Food Championships to be held in Las Vegas, Nevada in mid-November.  The event draws nearly 500 amateur and professional cooks competing for the title of the world’s best cook and a chance for a piece of $300,000.

BBQ Brian Misko, head Pitmaster at House of Q, says “this award is really exciting for us and is humbling knowing the calibre of the BBQ cooks all across Canada.  We are really looking forward to representing Canada and the BBQ community at the World Food Championships.”
